The ancient wisdom carved in the temple at Delphi, “know thyself” offers valuable advice for MBA applicants.
Every MBA program asks the question in one way or another. Why are you going to business school? (And within that is a series of deeper questions.) The importance of having a solid, clearly articulated answer to that question can’t be emphasized enough. The more you truly have the answers to these questions, the better you will be at explaining them to admissions committees.
MBAunlocked urges all applicants to consider carefully why they want to get an MBA. Is right now the best time? And if so, what do they hope to get out of the process (other than the degree, itself)?
In more practical terms, an MBA is a professional degree not an academic degree. It’s important to go in knowing what you want to get out of it.
