Reapplying

A note on reapplying . . if you’re reapplying for business school, good luck in your endeavors this time around. Reapplicants face a task that is slightly different than new applicants. As a reapplicant, the schools already have information about you on record (and most schools do retain records regarding applicants over several years).

So, what should you consider if you are reapplying to B-School? You should do some serious self-reflection about why you may not have been admitted the last time you applied. What has changed for you? Have you addressed admissions committees’ concerns? How are you going to “prove” that you’re a stronger candidate this time around?

Are you reapplying because you love the program, and can demonstrate passion and ability? Or is this just another check-mark for your resume?

A lot of applicants go into the process saying, “if I don’t get in this year, I can always reapply.”  We strongly discourage this type of thinking, as it just wastes time, money, and effort.  If you’re ready to apply, give it your best shot.  If not, you may just want to wait to apply until next year.
