Narrowing Your Search

If you plan to apply to programs this fall, you should be taking the GMAT in the next month (if you haven’t done so already).  Get that score and move on to the next step.

Do you know where you want to apply to school?  Does that list coincide with the top 5 programs this year?  Great, but do you have reasons for applying to those specific schools aside from ranking or name recognition?  It is worth giving some thought to other factors that are important to you.

Things to consider:

-          Areas of academic specialization

-          Geographic location and setting

-          Culture and fit

-          School resources and extra-curricular activities

-          Profile of current students

-          Internship and Full-time placement

-          Alumni network and participation

Remember, you only get one MBA and it’s about the experience and network as much as the academics.  Find the program the fits your needs.
